The Villa

History

The eighteenth century Court of Villa Colloredo, with its typical arcades, farmers’ houses and barns is a secluded place, immersed in the tranquillity of the Brenta Riviera. This harmonious geometrical area, once the heart of farming life, is surrounded by an over 40 hectare farmstead, a rare oasis filled with vegetation between Dolo and Mira, only 20 km from Venice and Padua.

Corte di Villa Colloredo is surrounded by a big garden and by cultivated lands; a perfect place for strolling and jogging. From the house you can reach Venice Lagoon with a bicycle, cycling along the Brenta river, admiring architectural masterpieces such as Villa Foscari designed by architect Palladio it Malcontenta and Villa Pisani in Stra, with frescoes by Giambattista Tiepolo.

Built in 1782 by the Colloredo family and enlarged numerous times during the 1800’s and 1900’s, Corte di Villa Colloredo was bought in 1974 by Alberto Meneghelli, Andrea Meneghelli’s father, making it the family residence; in 2005 it was nearly completely renovated. The place is run by Sara, Andrea’s wife.
